Hi there!
I am a freelance photographer. I specialize in shooting dog training and dog sport events in the Sacramento area. I am a devoted dog handler who loves to capture striking images of dogs in action. I started my journey with photography in college creating fine art film work. I made the switch to digital years later when I started shooting action sports and needed a lightweight camera to attach to a helmet to capture skydiving images.
I spent over ten years working in the skydiving industry as a freelance photographer, coach, and professionally sponsored athlete. After over 2000 skydives, including a few world records, a shoulder injury permanently grounded me. I took a long break from life behind the lens to pursue other creative arts.
In 2020, I was entrusted with a phenomenal Boxer puppy named Szikra. Although I have always had dogs in my life and have trialed in various dog sports, this dog really pushed me to take my handling skills to the next level. At two years old, she holds titles in obedience and dock diving and also has a promising future in IGP. Being out there training and trialing alongside you has inspired me to get behind the lens again. I love capturing the synergy that happens between dog and handler on the trial field.
